Tonight I wandered,
Abandoned,
Slightly shamed for falling into traps:
Stuck, like sweet molasses
Dripping.
Steady steps always lead me here:
Shiny mirrors reflect
my only Saviour.
Tonight I wandered,
Abandoned,
Slightly shamed for falling into traps:
Stuck, like sweet molasses
Dripping.
Steady steps always lead me here:
Shiny mirrors reflect
my only Saviour.
I need to get off this
Bottom Rung,
Relying
on others,
Crying
in solitude,
Lacking
all fortitude
Inside.
I cower too easily,
Face my own frailty
Too readily,
to garner any strength.
The irony of course:
I live my life alone–
Occupy my own space
Without
resolve.
Sometimes pain is the catalyst for change.
It shores up all your strength.
